Sandals' service is genuine! They have a strictly enforced NO TIPPING policy at all resorts. The only exceptions are Butlers, Red Lane Spa therapists, golf caddies, and airport transfer drivers. Guests may tip them.
When Gordon 'Butch' Stewart built the first Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, he allowed his imagination to guide the design. He had to, because hotels in Jamaica at that time had not yet captured much in the way of imaginations. Stewart envisioned something totally different: An all-luxury experience, where guests would open their eyes in the morning to breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea.
You can't miss the vase when you walk into the living room of Bruce Hamilton and his wife, Christy. It sits prominently on a credenza in their Jacksonville Beach, Florida, home, next to a photo album from Bruce and Christy's 2017 wedding. Less than a year old, the vase has already become a family heirloom, a memento from their vow renewal on their fifth anniversary at Sandals Negril. But it isn't the vase itself that makes them reminisce. It's the blue and pink sand inside, which serves as a constant reminder of the people who poured it on that day.
During nearly half a century of marriage, Lenny and Maryanne Kravitz have traveled to 56 countries. They've ridden camels in Morocco, stared at the Northern Lights in Iceland, and sipped vintage port wines in Portugal.

At the Sandals Dive Center in Castries Harbor, Saint Lucia, resort guests step into a waiting boat, imagining the Caribbean underworld they're about to see. They've already seen plenty above water during the short ride from the resort to the dive center, passing trees full of tropical fruit and two girls literally skipping into a schoolyard. One of the dive instructors is about to provide clarity for everything they've seen and are about to see. It's something he learned from Eristhee, who directs operations for CLEAR (Center for Livelihoods, Ecosystems, Energy, Adaptation, and Resilience) and is standing on a dock 20 feet away.
