For the longest time, Caribbean Heritage Month has been celebrated during the month of June. Over the weekend of May 19, a new moon rose in the skyscape of Ocho Rios, Jamaica. With it came a cosmic reset and a renewed sense of direction for the Sandals Resorts family. In great celebration and legendary fashion, Sandals Resorts unveiled its latest resort, the all-new Sandals Dunn's River.
On June 8, people around the globe will celebrate World Oceans Day with beach clean-ups, community education, and eye-opening environmental art. For the nearly 20,000 employees of Sandals and Beaches Resorts and the Sandals Foundation, it's natural to observe World Oceans Day because the purpose is ingrained into their daily lives-How fitting, then, that June is also Caribbean Heritage Month.
May 2023 will forever be a bold entry in the timeline of Sandals and Beaches Resorts' history. Actually, there will be two entries. One will point out magnificence: the Caribbean company unveiling its futuristic Sandals Dunn's River resort, with Jamaica's first beachfront sky pool suites overlooking an ocean too beautiful to be true. The other entry will point out a subtle transformation that towers over pools and can be held in the palm of your hand: the logos, refreshed and reworked for Sandals and Beaches Resorts.
The glow of a Caribbean morning reflects off the sea in one direction and off the breakfast table in another. The fruit of Saint Lucia is on display at Sandals Regency La Toc, sweet and colorful enough to wake up guests before the first coffee is poured. Mangos. Papayas. Pineapples. Bananas. In a few hours, at Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica, the scent of jerk chicken will waft over the pool at lunchtime, and in Grenada the island's spices will call attention to a dessert tray.
