Complimentary Shuttle Service
Crystal Cruises is pleased to provide complimentary shuttle service in ports of call where the town or city center is beyond a reasonable walking distance from the ship’s pier. The shuttle schedule is announced in the onboard daily newsletter Reflections.
The company’s high service standards are maintained through a significant investment in staff recruiting and training, and a genuine commitment to staff’s well-being. At just 9%, the line boasts the industry’s lowest turnover rate and one that is virtually unheard of in most luxury hotels and resorts.
The European-trained staff hail from more than 40 nations and are selected based on their winning and friendly personalities as well as their expertise in providing Six-Star service.
Through an intensive training program, the ladies and gentlemen of Crystal Cruises are taught to implement the Six-Star Crystal Basics, a multi-point credo that addresses attitude, communication, competence, style, safety/environment and execution. Staff members address guests by name from the time they are introduced and quickly identify and focus on their personal preferences. The fine points remembered by staff members include such details as how guests take their coffee to what their favorite cookies are, where they like to sit in which restaurant, what type of wines they prefer, what amenities are most used and which are not, and exactly how they like their blankets and pillows arranged.

Guests with any disability, including those primarily confined to wheelchairs or scooters, are medically oxygen dependent, are hearing impaired or use service animals, must notify Crystal Cruises at the time of booking as they may be required to submit forms for Release and Indemnity directly to Onboard Guest Services prior to sailing.
Guests must bring their own wheelchair, electrically powered wheelchair or electric scooter that does not exceed 22" wide.
Release and Indemnity forms are required and must be submitted to Onboard Guest Services at least two (2) weeks prior to sailing.
Please note: Crystal Cruises reserves the right to limit the number of electric scooters on board. Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity were designed to be accessible for the physically challenged, with ramp access to most decks and public areas.
Ships’ elevators can accommodate most wheelchairs, power wheelchairs or motorized scooters that do not exceed 22" wide, allowing access to all public decks. It is strongly recommended that the guest be accompanied by a traveling companion for better access to all areas on and around both Crystal ships, as well as ashore.
Certain staterooms offer extra-wide doors, fully wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and wheelchair-accessible closets with low-fitted hanging rods. Some suites offer limited wheelchair access to personal facilities. Staterooms and suites designated for guests with disabilities are subject to availability and must be reserved prior to boarding the ship.
As some ports of call are anchorage ports and others may be challenging, physical conditions may preclude guests requiring wheelchairs or scooters from going ashore. This decision is made at the discretion of the ship’s Captain or doctor, and is binding. The onboard Shore Excursions staff are able to assist with recommendations on which Crystal Adventures tours, if any, are best suited for physically challenged guests. Additional conditions may apply and should be discussed in detail with Onboard Guest Services at time of booking.
Crystal Cruises is always ranked with the best five-star hotels in the world. However, for the corporate meeting planner, the value of taking your meeting to the sea is Crystal clear. Included in the price of a Crystal cruise is a wide range of amenities that always significantly increase the cost of choosing a land-based resort--such as meals, entertainment, meeting rooms and audio-visual equipment.

Kids have a variety of great activities to choose from on select Crystal sailings. During Holiday cruises and most summer sailings, junior activities feature games, arts and crafts, and other programs under the supervision of experienced Junior Activities Directors. Plus, Crystal offers a children's playroom and babysitting services on all cruises.
Hours of operation vary depending on the itinerary and number of children on board. Activities are determined by age and the number of children on board. On those sailings with Junior Activities Directors, a detailed schedule of events is created at the beginning of each cruise.
Fantasia, the children's playroom, offers tables and chairs for arts and crafts, popular Sony PlayStation® game titles, a large screen television set and board games. Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity also feature a teenager's video arcade, Waves. The Library offers children's books and children's videos or DVDs for enjoyment in staterooms.
Kids may choose from a special Junior Cruiser's menu, and Crystal's executive chefs and other culinary staff can prepare custom dishes. The Trident Grill serves complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and more. Baby food, high chairs and booster seats are available.
For a small fee, all vessels offer in-stateroom baby-sitting. Guests should contact the concierge on board for this service at least 24 hours in advance.
Walking is the number one exercise in the world, and fitness expert Debbie Rocker designed her Walk-On-Water WOW® program exclusively for Crystal, all so you can maintain or even expand your fitness program in idyllic settings around the world.
Utilizing Rocker’s innovative WALKVEST® Training System, a lightweight cotton vest with weight pockets strategically located around the mid-section so that added weight is evenly distributed for safety and comfort while walking, the program takes full advantage of the 360° teak Promenade Deck on each ship – a unique feature not found on many of today’s cruise ships. The program includes customized motivational music-driven audiotapes, a day-by-day guided walking program, and educational instructions on how to walk safely and effectively on deck.
On any voyage anywhere in the world, golf enthusiasts may wish to take advantage of the golf driving ranges and putting greens found aboard each ship. Featuring TaylorMade – the best performance golf equipment in the world – you might take a swing with a prestigious r7 quad driver, the acclaimed 2005 RAC OS irons, the Mezza Monza putter, or the r5 dual Type N – the most forgiving driver TaylorMade has ever engineered. Crystal’s comprehensive golf program features right- and left-handed clubs for both men and women, as well as golf clinics and instruction by PGA golf pros on most sailings.
If golf isn't your game, how about paddle tennis or shuffleboard? You'll enjoy a full-size, enclosed paddle tennis court on the ship-top Sun Deck.
For jogging, walking, stretching and fresh air, there's the Promenade Deck, nearly a quarter-mile around for walking or jogging.
There are two pools, the indoor/outdoor Neptune Pool and the full-length Seahorse Pool on Serenity and an outdoor full-length Seahorse Pool on Symphony and adjoining Jacuzzi®, located on the Lido Deck. Sunbathe, snooze and read while enjoying a refreshing drink poolside in the afternoon.
Crystal Wine & Food Festival sailings are indicated on applicable sailings. Watch as celebrated chefs prepare signature dishes for dinner menus, demonstrate cooking techniques and share the secrets of their culinary artistry. In addition, distinguished wine experts provide insight and education to the endlessly fascinating world of wine, offering unique opportunities to experience side-by-side tastings of select vintages from Crystal Cruises' extensive wine list, including Crystal's exclusive "C" vintages. Held in a lively and convivial atmosphere, these events offer a heady blend of entertainment and learning.
Glittering and stylish with fabulous chandeliers and an air of energized excitement, the Crystal Casino offers thrilling games of chance featuring Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, 3 Card Poker*, Ultimate Texas Hold’em* and Mini-Baccarat (on request), as well as slot and video poker machines.
A casino shipboard advance of up to $300 per person, per day, may be charged to your shipboard account using a major credit card or a personal check (up to a maximum of $3,000 per cruise). A line of credit may also be established prior to your cruise by completing an application. Applications for casino credit are included in every guest’s cruise documents. Please allow 1-2 weeks processing time.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to enter the gaming areas, or to play any monetary-based games of chance (including Bingo) on board. The Crystal Casino offers Nevada-style gaming and is subject to closure in various ports with or without notice.
