With the acquisition by A&K Travel Group in 2022, Crystal has been revitalized, blending its rich heritage with modern amenities and sophisticated design. This reimagining is set to elevate luxury cruising to new heights, offering discerning travelers unique experiences both at sea and on shore.
The reimagined ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, feature larger, updated suites with artisanal finishes, new cutting-edge wellness offerings, and spectacular entertainment options. The interior design combines classic and modern elements, reflecting Crystal’s exceptional style. Guest rooms and suites have been redesigned to create a refined space, merging smaller guestrooms into larger suites with separate living and bedroom areas, large bathrooms, and private verandas. This redesign aims to provide the best comforts of home while enhancing the luxury cruise experience.
Notable design partners include Studio Gem and Tillberg Design, who have crafted spaces that embody both contemporary and classic elements. The use of neutral tones, high-end fixtures, and subtle pastel colors resonates with the ocean's hues, creating a serene ambiance.
Crystal Cruises is expanding its fleet with four newbuilds, including two ocean ships and two expedition vessels, set to launch through 2029. The two new ocean ships will feature 690 passengers and 61,800 gross tons, with a focus on high crew-to-passenger ratios for personalized service. These ships will include amenities like a full wraparound promenade deck, Nobu restaurant, casino, spa, fitness center, and dedicated areas for families.
The partnership with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri ensures innovative and environmentally sustainable designs. The construction timeline includes the first ship arriving in spring 2028, with the second and third ships to follow later, including an option for a third vessel to be delivered by 2032.
