JAMAICA - Marriage Documents and Documentation needed for Jamaica

Wedding in Jamaica Documents

Residency period: 48 hrs. (includes weekends and holidays)

Notarized copies of state-issued birth certificates for BOTH bride and groom. Passports will not be accepted in lieu of birth certificates.

Notarized copies of all court certified final divorce decrees and final judgments with court’s stamp and judge’s signature for BOTH bride and groom, if applicable.

Notarized copy of former spouse’s state-issued death certificate with related notarized marriage certificate, if applicable.

Notarized copy of legal name change or legal adoption documents, if applicable.

Original/Certified documents are also accepted, however, documents WILL NOT be returned.

An original sworn affidavit referring to documents specifically may also be provided to accompany photocopy of document. Must be dated and notarized a maximum of 90 days prior to wedding date.

All documents not in English must be accompanied by a Certified Translation.

Please mail via courtier service notarized photocopies (with the notary’s original ink signature and stamp) of the required documents for BOTH bride and groom at least 60 days prior to the arrival date.
