From the bridge, you can gaze straight down to where the Colorado River runs through the canyon floor 4,000 ft/1,219 m below. The Skywalk has solid sides to help overcome any feelings of vertigo, yet gives visitors a unique sense of being suspended in mid-air and an unparalleled birds-eye view over the canyon.
A walk on the Skywalk costs US$82.37. Add-ons such as Hummer off-road tours, horseback rides and helicopter-and-pontoon boat trips to the bottom of the canyon can also be purchased.
