Begin your Panama Vacation with a private guided boat tour of the Panama Canal. Board a boat with your naturalist guide at the intersection of the Charges River and the Panama Canal in the town of Gamboa. Depart on your expedition across Gatun Lake, keeping your eyes peeled for resident wildlife, including three-toed sloths lounging in tree branches, snail kites, keel-billed toucans, white-faced capuchin, mantled howler monkeys, ospreys hunting for peacock bases, and more as you circle rainforest-clad islands. Continue to the Miraflores Locks to discover the history of the Panama Canal before finishing in the town of Balboa.
Continue your in-depth discovery of Panama with an authentic Panamanian cooking class. Spend a few hours with local chefs and learn how to prepare acclaimed Panamanian appetizers, mains, and sides, including the famous sancocho de pollo, patacones, and octopus ceviche. Return to your Panama City hotel with a full stomach and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city at leisure.
