This 12-day epic small group journey through Peru is fully guided by Goway. The journey begins in Lima, where you’ll explore its colonial past and bohemian present with tours of Lima District and Barranco. You’ll also survey one of the world’s greatest collections of pre-Columbian artifacts at the Larco Museum. Fly north to Puerto Maldonado to spend three days exploring the Amazon Rainforest. Through a combination of boat rides, hikes, and treks on canopy boardwalks, you’ll discover a staggering variety of wildlife and learn key insights about the world’s largest ecosystem. Fly to Cusco and venture into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explore Incan ruins, including the fortress of Ollantaytambo and the agricultural terraces of Moray, as well as the living Inca culture at local villages, including the Misminay Community. The apex of your epic journey is a tour of Machu Picchu, the Lost Citadel of the Incas.
