Diverse and historic Sydney greets visitors with its sparkling harbour, iconic Harbour Bridge, and the unforgettable Sydney Opera House. Your included ferry ticket allows you to enjoy all three, including entry to Taronga Zoo, where you can say ‘G’day’ to kangaroos, koalas and other natives as well as many international guests. Your guided tour of The Rocks area offers a fascinating insight into Australia’s convict past, while an afternoon tour takes you to the Botanical Gardens and famous Bondi Beach for a more modern slice of Sydney.
Enjoy a free evening in Adelaide, South Australia’s ‘Festival City’, before flying on to Kangaroo Island, one of Australia’s most diverse ecological regions. A guided walk will introduce you to the local wildlife, which includes over 260 species of birds, and the famous Australian sea lions of Seal Bay. Other highlights include Flinders Chase National Park, the Rocky River region and Hanson Bay Sanctuary, where you’ll have a chance to spot koalas in the wild.
Return to the mainland for a taste of Australia’s oldest winemaking region, the Barossa Valley. You will visit internationally renowned wineries and enjoy a fully escorted tour through one of the largest family-owned estates.
Tropical Cairns offers a dazzling array of wildlife amid lush forest surrounds. You’ll visit the Great Barrier Reef for a close encounter with the abundant sea life of the world’s largest coral reef system. Your full day tour of nearby Kuranda and the surrounding rainforest includes one of Australia’s most scenic rail journeys, an Aboriginal dance performance, and a trip on the Skyrail for a bird’s eye view over the forest.
