The city's most famous draw, however, is nearby Yasnaya Polyana (http://www.yasnayapolyana.ru), the country estate of author Leo Tolstoy. While there, visit his home, museum and (unmarked) gravesite. Also try some Tulsky pryanik (gingerbread), a traditional Russian cookie.
