Highlights of Scotland: Edinburgh, Inverness, and Glasgow
This 8-day "Highlights of Scotland" itinerary promises an immersive journey through the country’s most iconic destinations-Edinburgh, Inverness, and Glasgow. The adventure begins in Edinburgh, where travelers will dive into the city’s rich history on a private, full-day tour, strolling along the cobbled streets of the Royal Mile, and exploring the majestic Edinburgh Castle perched on volcanic rock. On the following day, guests will step into the magical world of Harry Potter with a private walking tour, uncovering the locations that inspired J.K. Rowling’s famous books. The day wraps up with an intriguing secret history tour of Edinburgh’s hidden corners.
After three nights in Edinburgh, the journey continues north with a scenic train ride to Inverness, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Upon arrival, guests are invited to explore Leakey’s Bookshop, a treasure trove of rare books housed in an 18th-century church, and take in panoramic views from Inverness Castle. Day five unveils the rugged beauty of the Highlands with a shared tour to the legendary Isle of Skye and the fairytale-like Eilean Donan Castle, where travelers will enjoy breathtaking views of dramatic landscapes.
In Glasgow, travelers can immerse themselves in the vibrant energy of this cultural capital with a hop-on, hop-off bus tour, visiting landmarks like the Gothic Cathedral and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery. The final full day is spent uncovering Scotland’s historic heart with a tour to the imposing Stirling Castle, nestled in the Highlands.
