At this time of year, the weather is on the calmer side as the rainy season tappers off. The pace shifts, and though it isn’t quite peak season, there’s plenty of sunny days to be enjoyed. As this really is a transitional month from wet to dry season, there can be a few rain showers, but mostly, these pass quickly. This month features warm, comfortable weather, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
There are other pluses too when it comes to November vacations in The Bahamas. Day light hours seem to linger, just right for days filled with exploration. The ocean feels warm and inviting, and the mellow tones ensure things happen at just the right time. If you’re looking for a more low-key Caribbean getaway, this month can be just the right time to make it happen.

November temperatures tend to be more understated than some of the hotter months in The Bahamas. You can expect daily highs around 80°F (27°C), nightly lows around 70°F (21°C), and lower humidity. With the humidity drop, evenings feel a little more pleasant, and though its small, it’s noticeable.
Overall, the temperatures during this month are just right for beach days without the summer scorch. The cool breezes keep things comfortable. On some islands in The Bahamas, the temperatures can be a degree cooler or warmer during the month of November.

We mentioned earlier that November is something of a transitional month in The Bahamas. This means that there can be rainfall on some days, but this tends to be minimal. Compared to the summer months, November can be far less rainy with the average rainfall around 2–3 inches (50–75 mm). During this month, you can expect short, light showers that pass quickly. If it rains, this mostly happens during the night or early mornings, which is great news if you plan on spending lots of time beachside or boating around the islands.

With over 700 islands and cays in The Bahamas, it can be hard to decide which ones to visit during your November vacation. As each island has its own personality and offerings, the best island to visit will really depend on what you’re looking for. Here are a few of our favorites:

For a November vacation that’s filled with opportunities to not just explore, but go shopping and enjoy nightlife and dining,

While in The Bahamas, make a point of visiting the Exumas—365 islands and cays that are known for their inviting beaches and hidden dive spots. There’s a lot to do in the Exumas—everything from beach hopping and snorkeling to swimming with pigs at Big Major Cay and scoping nurse sharks. The protected Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park, located in this area, is home to iguanas, seabirds, thriving fish populations, and vibrant coral ecosystems.

Eleuthera & Harbour Island are two Bahamian destinations that you can escape to for a few moments of peace amid calming natural backdrops. These islands are known for their unique snorkeling spots, hidden caves, blue holes, pink sand beaches. These aren’t mainstream touristy destinations, so you can look forward to uncrowded beaches and the sort of tranquility you can take with you when you leave.

In The Bahamas, the ‘Out Islands’ are also sometimes called the Family Islands. This term relates to a group of less developed and more secluded islands that are a good distance away from busier spots like New Providence Island (Nassau) and Grand Bahamas (Freeport). Many of The Bahamas’ 700 islands and cays can be found within this grouping.
The Exumas, Eleuthera & Harbour Island are considered Out Islands. There are also others like Andros (the largest island, known for blue holes and bone fishing), Cat Island, Long Island, Berry Islands, and others. While in The Bahamas, you can take a boat to explore these islands if you want an escape that feels like your own private island. As with most tours and excursions in The Bahamas, it’s best to explore the Out Islands with a guide.
Good to know: While in The Bahamas, you can add some of the Out Islands to your
island-hopping itinerary. Exploring the different islands can be one of the highlights of your November vacation!

To strike the right chord when packing for your island getaway, keep balance in mind. Avoid overpacking, but be sure your list covers the basics so nothing essential gets left behind. Since island life is easygoing, think cool and breezy looks. Pack light, pack smart, and try to get it done early so you can slip into vacation mode. Here’s a shortlist of things to pack for your Bahamas trip:
● Swimsuits and cover-ups.
● Light, breathable clothing.
● Flip-flops and sandals.
● A light sweater or wrap for cool evenings.
● Reef-safe sunscreen and sunglasses.
● Snorkel gear if you have it.
● A poncho or light rain jacket, just in case.
● Book flights early for better deals.
● Take advantage of calmer seas for boat tours.
● Look out for local festivals and events.
● Respect marine life – practice
● Book during low traffic times for more island serenity!

There’s no short supply of options when it comes to accommodation in The Bahamas. There are, however, a few ways that you can narrow down the options. First off, consider location. All-inclusive resorts on New Providence Island, particularly those in Nassau standout for convenience. Think about the proximity of the various resorts to beaches and the attractions you’d like to see. When you find a resort you like, ask questions and find out whether it’s all-inclusive. Beyond just that, find out

For an all-inclusive, adults-only escape, Sandals Royal Bahamian is just the place. This resort features inviting beachfront suites, a welcoming atmosphere, and more than enough room to explore. With meals, drinks and anytime snacks included, a private offshore island for secluded sunbathing, day and night entertainment, land and water sports and more, plus friendly and accommodating staff, it’s just the kind of resort you can easily say yes to.
