Disney Cruise recently updated it's testing requirements for all sailings departing from a U.S. or Canadian port, beginning tomorrow, June 7.  

All Guests should indicate their pre-sail testing method (i.e. early embarkation testing or testing at the terminal) or register and/or upload documentation to the Safe Passage website. Guests should complete this process no later than 24 hours before their sailing.

As a reminder, Disney Cruise Line requires all vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing. This is a requirement for all Guests (US and international) ages 5 and up.

Travel parties with incomplete pre-sailing documentation will receive the following SeaMail:

Dear [Guest Name],

We noticed that one or more members of your travel party is not “Clear to Arrive” at the port or “Clear to Sail” on the [Ship] on [Sail Date].

If you successfully uploaded your vaccination documentation and have been waiting to take and upload results from your negative early embarkation test to Safe Passage, please do so prior to midnight before your sail date.

However, if you have not yet indicated your pre-sail testing method (i.e. early embarkation testing or testing at the terminal) or have not registered and/or uploaded documentation to the Safe Passage website, please complete this process no later than 24 hours before your sailing.

Listed below is important information about COVID-19 testing requirements for your upcoming sailing:

COVID-19 Vaccination

On your upcoming sailing, Disney Cruise Line requires all vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing. This is a requirement for all Guests (US and international) ages 5 and up. 

In consideration of guidance from the CDC and the World Health Organization, Disney Cruise Line accepts the following vaccine types: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Novavax, Sinopharm BBIBP-CorV (VeroCell), Sinovac-CoronaVac and Covavaxin (Bharat Biotech).

COVID-19 Testing: Guests 4 Years of Age and Younger

Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between three days and 24 hours before their sail date. Guests ages 4 and under must complete these testing requirements. The test should be a NAAT test, rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted. 

COVID-19 Testing: Guests who are Fully Vaccinated

Fully vaccinated Guests must provide proof of a negative early embarkation COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken no more than two days before the sail date to be exempt from embarkation testing at the terminal. The test must be a rapid antigen test professionally observed by a medical professional or telehealth provider, a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), a rapid PCR test or a lab-based PCR test. Fully vaccinated Guests who do not upload early embarkation COVID-19 test results to the Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day must be tested at the terminal before boarding and will be charged for the cost of the test.

Since your sailing is within two days, we want to make sure you are aware Guests can use the Safe Passage website to purchase and schedule an early embarkation test to be performed at one of the Inspire Diagnostics testing locations set up for Disney Cruise Line Guests near the terminal. Note: Guests who ordered an at-home test kit but did not complete or mail it to Inspire Diagnostics via UPS can make an appointment to take their early embarkation COVID-19 test for no additional charge.

Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics

Every Guest (adults and children, regardless of age) must upload their proof of vaccination and/or pre-trip COVID-19 test results to the Safe Passage website. Parents and legal guardians will need to use their own account to provide this information on behalf of all minors.

Embarkation COVID-19 Testing

Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age are required to take a COVID-19 test (paid for by Disney Cruise Line and administered by Inspire Diagnostics) at the terminal before boarding.

Fully vaccinated Guests who do not upload the required early embarkation test results into the Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day must be tested at the terminal before boarding and will be charged. The cost of embarkation tests for fully vaccinated Guests will be $74 + tax for the initial antigen test, and, if needed, $125 + tax for a confirmatory PCR test, charged at the time of service.

Guests with positive COVID-19 test results—as well as those sharing the same stateroom and their close contacts—will be denied boarding.
