The living room, with its towering ceilings and massive sectional, centers around a sleek fireplace and large flatscreen TV. The adjacent kitchen features clean, minimalist cabinetry, a waterfall island with seating, and premium appliances, making it a functional yet stylish space for cooking and entertaining. The dining table, positioned near the large sliding glass doors, offers a seamless transition to the outdoor patio, where you’ll find a hot tub, firepit, and multiple seating areas for relaxation or social gatherings. The balcony extends the outdoor living space further with its grill, outdoor fireplace, and seating. On the lower level, a lounge area provides a more casual retreat, featuring a pool table, cozy sectional, and another TV. This space flows naturally into the patio, offering additional opportunities for outdoor entertainment.
The home’s accommodations are thoughtfully designed for comfort and privacy. The main-level primary suite offers direct access to the patio and hot tub, along with an ensuite bathroom that features a double vanity, walk-in shower, and ample storage. The lower-level bunk room includes two captain’s bunks and an ensuite with dual showers and a double vanity. Upstairs, a lofted den overlooks the living room through glass railings, adding a sophisticated touch to the space. The upper level also includes two additional bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a spacious secondary suite with a soaking tub, walk-in shower, and wide windows that maximize the views.

But then the airport (the second highest in the nation) was built in the late 1980s. Even though its popularity has skyrocketed, Telluride has a slightly funkier, more authentic feel to it than some of the more antiseptic upscale resorts. It offers a mix of cowboy chic and movie-star glamour. Among the celebrities who have owned houses there at one time or another are Oprah Winfrey, Ralph Lauren, Christie Brinkley and Oliver Stone. Despite the glam factor, locals are proud of their laid-back, jeans-wearing style. Telluride is also the kind of place where ski instructors and tour guides are likely to be renegade physicists or corporate lawyers who went there to ski and never left.
The town of Telluride, located at the end of a highway in a magnificent box canyon, has so far retained its small-town charm, including Victorian architecture and quaint bed-and-breakfasts. It also offers full-service lodging, boutiques, restaurants and apres-ski amenities. The Peaks Resort and Spa is one of the top spas in the U.S.
Some of the nonski attractions in Telluride include a downtown historic district where restored buildings have been converted into shops and restaurants. Bridal Veil Falls, the longest in Colorado, is absolutely gorgeous.
A free gondola system provides a scenic way to get between Telluride and its newer, European-styled sister city, Mountain Village.
