Guest-favorite Barista
Recently aboard Seven Seas Voyager®, I had the pleasure of meeting Justus Fernandes, a crew member that began his career aboard Regent 14 years ago, and arguably the fleet’s star barista. He has quite the fan base, not only for his phenomenal skills and froth designs, but also for remembering your coffee order.
Over the buzz of the espresso machine, I asked him a few questions, beginning with his knack for memorization. “Oh, I’m good at remembering faces,” he said smiling. “Like, when I see a guest, I immediately see their coffee order in front of them."
By his estimation, the most popular coffee order is a caffè mocha. The perfect pick-me-up in the afternoon, the recipe calls for two shots of espresso, mixing chocolate in until it’s melted and then adding twice as much steamed milk.
