Float into the heart of the landscape Rafting through the Waitomo Glow Caves – North Island, New Zealand The underground river winds past waterfalls and whirlpools among enormous stalactites and constellations of glow worms. Set up camp on the white sand beach or alongside a jewel-like lake, and explore the dunes, cast your line into the surf, build a sand castle and relax. 6. See flawless vistas Cruise through the Milford Sound – New Zealand On the southwestern edge of New Zealand’s South Island, Milford Sound is a long, narrow fjord off the Tasman Sea. Your ship is a tiny toy against the backdrop of sheer cliffs, waterfalls and misty mountaintops on this journey of magical beauty. 7. See the classic rock Camel riding at Uluru/Ayer’s Rock – Northern Territory, Australia Perhaps the most revered site in Australia and one of the most photographed vistas in the world, Uluru/Ayer’s Rock emerges suddenly from the plain.
