The Isle of Rum is one of Scotland's exquisite National Nature Reserves. The island harbors a variety of birds and wildlife including deer, goats, otters, seals and many others. Visitors wishing to explore the island on their own may take one of two nature trails around the village of Kinlock. The island is a fantastic place to go for a walk, and at Harris on the south coast is the unusual Greek Mausoleum of the Bullough family.
