Weekend Cruise Getaway

Don't have time for a long trip, but want a quick amazing weekend get away? Book a  3 night cruise! My mom and I took an amazing Mother/Daughter trip, something we had not done since I was a teenager, so it was well overdue! We booked a 3 night Key West/Bahama's Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette, and we made the most of those 3 days!  Because it is a weekend trip there really are no 'at sea days' we embarked on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning woke up and disembarked in Key West! We signed up for the walking tour and it was amazing! 19,000 steps later we had covered most of the island and saw some amazing sites! Way too many to post all the pictures but seeing the sites and hearing the history of the island was fantastic! We went back to a few key spots when the tour was over like Ernest Hemingways house, and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville!  Sunday we spent the afternoon in Nassau! We did the walking tour there as well and learned a lot! It was a much shorter tour than the one in Key West but we did get to see some interesting things. To be honest I am not sure I would do the walking tour again in Nassau, but I absolutely would recommend the one in Key West! After the tour we took a walk over to the beach, it was beautiful! Looking forward to my next trip to the Bahamas! This was a wonderful get away and mom and I made some amazing memories that I will cherish forever! I highly recommend these short getaways!

50th Birthday Perfection
