From the bridge, you can gaze straight down to where the Colorado River runs through the canyon floor 4,000 ft/1,219 m below. To visit Grand Canyon West you must purchase an entry package that includes a visitation permit and various tours and activities run by the Hualapai, such as a shuttle to the main viewpoints and visits to the Indian Village and Hualapai Ranch. The basic package, the Hualapai Legacy Tour, costs US$49.92. Add-ons such as Hummer off-road tours, horseback rides and helicopter-and-pontoon boat trips to the bottom of the canyon can also be purchased.
