International football star, Antoine Griezmann and his wife Erika ensured their honeymoon was nothing but dreamy by staying in one of twelve new luxury over-the-water bungalows at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The couple gave fans a glimpse into their Jamaican honeymon via their social media pages, revealing it was one of “their best trips ever” and promising that “they will be back soon in Jamaica”. Some eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that they were staying at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort, which opened the luxury Maldivian style bungalows in March.
French national and Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann is the third footballer to have been spotted at Sandals Resorts this summer. Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his popstar girlfriend Perrie Edwards stayed in an Over-The-Water Bungalow at Sandals Grande St Lucian in St Lucia, whilst Bournemouth player Nathan Aké enjoyed a romantic holiday with his girlfriend at Sandals Emerald Bay in The Bahamas.
At Sandals Royal Caribbean, Antoine and Erika enjoyed 24-hour room service, welcome gifts, private luxury transfers to and from the resort as well as their own professionally trained butler to cater for their every whim. Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort features a private offshore island with a secluded private beach, a swim-up pool bar, a Thai restaurant as well as dragon boat transportation to and from the island. The resort’s name is very fitting as it recently welcomed royal guest Prince Harry during his tour of the Caribbean to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Launched in March, the resort’s Over-The-Water Bungalows feature glass floors so marine life can be viewed day and night. Every bungalow captures the height of luxury with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a smart TV and custom crafted king-size beds adorned with soft linens and plush pillows for the ultimate sleep experience.
