Wedding in Grenada Documents

Residency period: 72 hrs. (three days, including weekends and holidays prior to applying for license) and one-three days for application of license; 48 hrs. for Express Weddings

Original country-issued passports AND state-issued birth certificates for BOTH bride and groom.

Notarized copies of all court certified final divorce decrees and final judgments with court’s stamp and judge’s signature for BOTH bride and groom, if applicable.

Notarized copy of former spouse’s state-issued death certificate with related notarized marriage certificate, if applicable.

Notarized copy of legal name change or legal adoption documents, if applicable.

Sworn affidavit (or letter from a clergy man, Lawyer, Registry or Notary Public; must be on letterhead with applicable notarization stamps, seals, etc.) attesting that neither party has not been previously married.

Couples must hand carry all original state issued and/or court certified documents with raised/embossed seals & stamps and with Judge or Court Clerk’s original ink signature.

All documents not in English must be accompanied by a Certified Translation.

Please mail, email or fax photocopies (not originals) of the required documents for BOTH the bride and groom at least 60 DAYS prior to the arrival date.

Express Wedding: $190 fee to expedite the issuance of the marriage license and marry within 48 hours. (arrive Monday, marry Wednesday after 12:00pm). All Documents must be emailed, faxed or mailed at least 60 days prior. Late fee applies if 30 days prior.
