Description:

With 4 days in Australia's vast interior, you can explore the lands that define the continent's natural grandeur. See the majestic red rock face of Uluru in the evening sun, go bushwalking to learn about the lives of the ancient Anangu people, and get clear views of the southern night sky.

Day 1:
After you arrive at Ayers Rock Airport and transfer to your hotel, visit the Uluru sunset viewing area. Watch as the evening light casts Uluru in the dazzling shades for which the giant rock face is famous, and make sure you have your camera ready to capture the gradual changes of color.

Once the sun goes down, head to an exclusive barbecue site surrounded by dunes and desert oak trees, far enough from the resort's lights to provide a clear view of the stars. Here, weather permitting, your guide will give you a tour of the night sky, pointing out the visible constellations with a high-beam spotlight and explaining Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars.

Day 2:
Join an intimate group led by a member of the local Anangu people to experience the sacred beauty and culture around Uluru. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, and then gather around a campfire to immerse yourself in Anangu culture, learn ancient bush skills, and take an interpretive walk to hear traditional stories at the base of the ancient monolith.

In the afternoon, visit Kata Tjuta for a walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rocks, and see the unique flora and fauna that live in this harsh desert setting. Take some time at the Valley of the Winds Lookout to look over the central valley and watch the Outback sunset at Kata Tjuta.

Day 3:
An early start lets you see a magnificent desert sunrise on your way to Kings Canyon. After breakfast at Kings Creek Station, you can choose to take a rocky climb to the canyon rim, where you can see marvelous views of Watarrka National Park, or explore the Canyon floor in the shade. Stop at Kings Canyon Resort before you return to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 4:
Your adventure comes to an end in the morning with a transfer back to Ayers Rock Airport.
