Description:

Spend a day exploring regal shrines, historic palaces, and stunning temples on this full day tour. Your adventure through Tokyo’s charming sites and landmarks also includes a chance to do some souvenir shopping at Nakamise Shopping Street and enjoy a scenic cruise along Tokyo Bay.

After your hotel pickup, follow your guide as you travel to Meiji Shrine, erected in 1926 and dedicated to the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Admire the lush green gardens, and hear from your guide why this is Tokyo’s most important and famous Shinto shrine—a structure with significance to the ancient Japanese religion.

Hop back on your coach and travel to the Imperial Palace East Garden. Gaze at the remaining structures of the 15th-century Edo Castle, which includes moats, stone walls, and several guardhouses. Take out your camera to snap pictures of the traditional Japanese gardens and tea pavilion located inside the palace.

Arrive at Sensō-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most significant Buddhist temple. Stroll around the majestic pagodas in the main hall before you take a walk along the colorful Nakamise Shopping Street to browse for souvenirs. At a local restaurant, take a break to enjoy a Western-style lunch overlooking a gorgeous seaside garden.

After lunch, cruise around Tokyo Bay, view the city’s skyline and iconic landmarks, and moor at Odaiba, a waterfront shopping district. Peruse the myriad of stores before heading to Tokyo Station and the conclusion of your tour.
