Description:

Experience the marvels of modern Japan in addition to its ancient traditions and wildlife on this 3-day adventure through the heart of the country. Tour the bustling streets of Tokyo, taste local seafood, visit the historic Zenko-ji temple, and be amused by the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park.

Day 1
Head out for a 2-hour sightseeing walk that takes you to the world-renowned commercial centers of Shinjuku and Shibuya. Get some photo opportunities of Japan's unique youth culture as you explore these vibrant local hotspots.

At night, get an incredible panoramic view of the city from the 45th floor of a Shinjuku skyscraper and complete your fun-filled day with a delicious izakaya dinner.

Day 2
Get some breakfast at Tsukiji Market, the world's largest wholesale fish and seafood market, and enjoy a private tour to witness its culture as buyers inspect and purchase the latest catch.

Next, take a high-speed train ride to Nagano, learn some traditional calligraphy, and visit Jigokudani Monkey Park to see wild snow monkeys descend from the cliffs and soak in the warm hot springs. Return to your accommodation at a traditional Japanese inn, where you can take a break in a steamy hot-springs bath yourself.

Day 3
Rise early for breakfast and a train ride back to Nagano. Stop at the Buddhist temple of Zenko-ji to see the popular Nioman Gate and Zenko-ji History Museum to view a large collection of carved statues of Buddhas and bodhisattvas. Finally, enjoy a bento box picnic lunch before returning to Tokyo.
