Description:

See the beauty of northern Taiwan on this 3-day tour. Enjoy Taiwanese cuisine with a dessert making session and walk through the popular Fengjia Night Market. Then marvel at the gently sloping mountains at Sun Moon Lake and get a taste of culture at the Lukang Folk Arts Museum.

Day 1:
After convenient pickup from your hotel, make your way to Nanzhuang Old Street to visit the Sweet Osmanthus Alley lined with tasty eateries and famous shops. Get an inside look at the creation of homemade desserts at the Flying Cow Ranch and spend time among the gentle cows that produce the milk. End your day at the Fengjia Night Market to browse a range of everything from food to clothes.

Day 2:
Start your day at the famed Sun Moon Lake for a view of calming blue waters and majestic mountains. Break for a lunch of Itathao aboriginal cuisine including rice cooked in bamboo, salt roasted shrimp, and tribal millet wine. Next travel north to the Wen Wu Temple, built in 1938, and admire the guardian lion statues at the entrance before you retire to your hotel.

Day 3:
Tour the Paper Factory to learn the wood-to-paper process and head to Bagua Mountain to see the 72-foot (22-m) Buddha statue. Next, stop at the Lukang Folk Arts Museum for a look at Ming and Ching dynasty artifacts including vintage photos, porcelain, and carved stones. Spend some time wandering around the township of Lukang and perhaps buy some Lukang ox tongue cake as a souvenir.
