Description:

Discover Taiwan's scenic wonders and idyllic towns on this tour from Taipei. Marvel at spectacular views of Sun Moon Lake and Alishan National Scenic Area. Explore the historic townships of Lukang and Puli. Visit the aboriginal village of Tehua and ancient Buddhist sites along the way.

Start your journey toward the township of Puli—the geographic center of Taiwan before continuing your journey to the Wen-Wu Temple, dedicated to Confucius, Tse-En Pagoda, and the Holy Monk Shrine.

Next, explore the aboriginal village of Tehua and conclude your day with a panoramic view of Sun Moon Lake, the largest body of water in Taiwan, located 2,454 feet (748 m) above sea level.

On your second day, admire the green, mountainous scenery as you travel to the Alishan National Scenic Area that stands well over 6,561 feet (2,000 m). Appreciate the natural, dense rainforest and pass by quaint idyllic villages.

On your final day, stop at the traditional town of Lukang, located on the west-central shore of Taiwan. Follow your expert guide on a walking tour through the ancient downtown and get a glimpse of local rituals at the Tianhou and Lung Shan temples.
