A true luxury East Coast resort, family-attentive Stowe Mountain offers winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels a variety of terrain to explore over 485 skiable acres (196 ha) on the slopes of Vermont's tallest peak.

Stowe Mountain boasts 116 named runs over Spruce Mountain and Mansfield Mountain, all divided into 6 distinct areas for different skill levels and types of terrain. Approximately 16% of the terrain is classified as beginner, 59% as intermediate, and 25% appeals to expert skiers looking for more technically demanding thrills. Stowe Mountain runs 13 lifts that include 2 gondolas and 3 high-speed quads to whisk riders from the base to the summit in no time.

With the top of Mansfield Mountain rising to an altitude of 4,395 feet (1,339 m), Stowe Mountain sees more than 333 inches (8.5 m) of snowfall each year. There's plenty of ground to cover here, with 2,160 feet (658 m) of vertical drop and runs that slope downward for up to 4 miles (6.5 km).

Grab a bite to eat at one of the on-mountain dining destinations, then, if your style is more grabs than groomers, head to the terrain parks in the Mansfield Triple Area. The different zones here offer up introductory features, rail gardens, and the Tyro Large Park for daredevils ready to tackle the park's biggest jumps.
