Description:
Discover the birthplace of the California wine industry in picturesque Sonoma Valley. Awaken your taste buds with big, bold red wines and elegant whites from 3 selected wineries. Throughout the day, sample some of the region's finest chocolate and cheese.
After pick up from your San Francisco hotel, head to a place where picturesque mountains, dazzling sunshine, and cool fog exposure create the perfect conditions to grow a wide variety of grapes. On your journey up to Sonoma, stop for a photo of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. At your first stop, Robledo Family Wines, sit back and learn about how Reynaldo Robledo became the first Mexican migrant vineyard worker to open a winery and tasting room in the US.
Next, stop at Larson Family Winery, a rustic winery with a range of vintages to delight every palate. Sit among 400 acres of grapes and enjoy a sumptuous boxed lunch including a variety of deli sandwiches, side salad, cookies, and bottled water.
At your leisure explore the charming town of Sonoma for an hour before heading to the last stop–Nicholson Ranch. This artisan winery features a splendidly crisp chardonnay and a velvety pinot noir. Take in the striking views of the vineyards where the first grapes were planted in 1824.
