Description:

Board a quirky pink amphibious vehicle, LARC, and journey around the historic town of Seventeen Seventy—the birthplace of Queensland. Along the way, visit Middle Island, a monumental restored lighthouse, and stunning white-sand beaches before the chance to go swimming, fishing, or sandboarding.

Your day starts as you ride along the coastline in a LARC, a vehicle that can travel on land and water. Drive along the beach to your first destination, the Bustard Head Lighthouse, and enter Queensland's only operating lighthouse open to the public before you head across 3 tidal creeks to the northern tip of Middle Island for a delightful morning tea break.

Listen to your knowledgeable local guide tell stories about history as you witness the majestic beauty that greeted Lieutenant James Cook when he first landed in the country now known as Australia. Enjoy some free time on the shore of Jenny Lind Creek where you can take a swim or go fishing. If you're feeling brave, sandboard down 115-foot (35-m) dunes before heading back to the marina.
