After a short introduction to the basic techniques of nighttime photography, your guide takes you to some of the best sites on the National Mall. Start at the Lincoln Memorial during the “magic hour” of deep-blue twilight and look across the famous Reflecting Pool toward the Washington Monument, and then walk to the far side of the pool for a shot of the Lincoln Memorial itself.

Take a short stroll to the poignant Vietnam Women's Memorial and the powerful Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and then see the extraordinary Korean War Veterans Memorial with its illuminated figures of men in combat. Once night has fallen, learn to take a portrait of the majestic statue of Abraham Lincoln and visit the whimsical, brightly lit memorial to Albert Einstein.
