Description:
On this bus tour, travel to the highest point of the island and take a cruise to visit the majestic islands of the area such as Nea Kameni, Palea Kameni, and Therasia.
The first stop is the 16th-century Monastery of Prophet Elias, built on the highest point of the island at (550 m) above sea level. From here, admire the stunning panoramic view of the whole island. Next, continue to Pyrgos, a village with Cycladic architecture, Byzantine churches, and a Venetian castle. From here, the view is amazing overlooking the northwest part of Santorini.
Make your way to Athinios and board the boat King Thiras for a stop at the volcanic island of Nea Kameni. Walk up the dirt path as you climb the still-active volcano to reach the crater. Back on the boat, head to the island of Palea Kameni. The boat stops around 164 feet (50 m) from the opening of hot springs and you can swim in the green sulphur waters, wet your feet, or just enjoy the view.
Next, continue to the island of Therasia—once part of Santorini before the big explosion of the volcano. Stay for 2 hours and swim, have lunch next to the sea, or explore the village of Manolas with its winding steps and traditional houses. Reach the port of Amoudi and climb the steps to Oia, a town with many white houses, to take in one of the most amazing sunsets in the world.
