Description:
Explore the Galápagos Islands on this 3-day small-group tour full of adventures. As you see giant tortoises, sea lions at La Loberia, marine iguanas, and the islands' stunning viewpoints, get a sense of the incomparable nature of a unique ecosystem.
Day 1
A local guide greets you at Seymour Airport and directs you to the ferry boat to the Island of Santa Cruz. En route to your Puerto Ayora hotel, stop by impressive lava tunnels and a turtle reserve. Proceed to the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about the amazing variety of species on the island, the theory of evolution, and conservation programs. The giant tortoise you get to observe leave you speechless.
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, take 40-minute walk to Tortuga Bay Beach, an exotic white-sand beach home to marine iguanas. Take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the nearby Mansa beach during your free time followed by lunch on your own. Next, cruise to La Loberia beach aboard a yacht and get a glimpse of charming sea lions that frequent the area.
Make sure to join the snorkeling tour before venturing to the Canal del Amor. Upon exiting the channel, stop at a viewpoint to see reef sharks before visiting Punta Estrada and the marine iguana-inhabited beach, Playa de los Perros.
Day 3
After breakfast, head to the airport. Before leaving this magical place, visit a coffee plantation that is part of a social responsibility program involving soil conservation and a model of sustainable tourism.
