Ever since perfume was produced there during the Middle Ages, Grasse has been the world capital of the industry. Visit fragrant flowers fields, an old oil mill, a perfume factory, and the Museum of Provencal Costume and Jewelry. Then create your own perfume and explore the charming town of Gourdon.

The love story between the city of Grasse and perfume dates back to the Middle Ages, when Galimard, a local tanner, had the idea to create scented leather gloves to mask the skin's smell. Today, perfume remains the city's main industry.
