Description:
Enjoy a leisurely day with a small-group excursion to Milford Sound. Admire the staggering beauty of the area as you join a boat cruise along the full length of the wonderful fiord to the Tasman Sea, and then top off your experience with a short walk or a hike on the renowned Routeburn Track.
Begin with a hotel pickup, take a scenic drive through alpine mountain ranges, and get a chance to stop at picturesque sites for some photos. When you arrive at Milford Sound, board a boat and set off on a leisurely cruise. Enjoy cascading waterfalls, rainforests, and towering mountains, and spot native wildlife such as seals, penguins, and dolphins swimming or take a breaking around the fiord.
After your cruise, enjoy a delectable picnic-style lunch before you continue your trip with a choice of a hike or short walk. If you choose the walk, follow one of the trails in Fiordland National Park and explore a range of different environments in the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site.
