Description:

Hop on the Hobie Wave with 3 of your friends and push off in this easy-to-sail rig speedster. Set sail from Hobie Beach into Biscayne Bay, exploreing the Florida wildlife that calls the lagoon home.

Perfect for first-time sailors, your Hobie Wave's under-body shape eliminates the need for daggerboards, and its rotomolded polyethylene hulls are virtually indestructible. Familiarize yourself with the controls during your 15-minute “crash course,” including a lesson in hoisting the main sail.

Sail around the 35 miles (56 km) of lagoon and take in the ocean breezes as you watch the downtown Miami skyline. Look around to get a glimpse of the native Florida manatees in the warm waters of the bay. Bottlenose dolphins can also be seen frolicking in the bay and enjoying a swim close to sailboats and other watercraft. Aim your sails back to the beach and spend the remainder of your day in the sand. Or dock and drive back across the bay to the city.
