A wonder for all ages, the Maui Ocean Center offers a fascinating view into the diverse Pacific Ocean. Explore more than 60 exhibits, including touch pools, an underwater viewing tunnel, and a 750,000-gallon open ocean exhibit where sharks swim alongside graceful rays and giant amberjacks.
Take a journey from the rocky surge zone to the open ocean exhibit. Large viewing windows showcase colorful marine creatures such as moray eels, sea horses, living coral, and a multitude of fish. Along the way, interactive touch screens and informational displays provide insight into the abundance of life found in the vast Pacific Ocean.
Watch in awe as numerous sharks swim by in Hammerhead Harbor or in one of the massive indoor exhibits. The walk-through tunnel offers exceptional views of these fearless creatures and views extend in every direction. The aquarium features both underwater and surface views of Hawaiian green sea turtles.
The octopus, a master of disguise, good-naturedly swims around and the clownfish hides in its home base—a sea anemone. Gather for daily presentations and shark feedings or touch a live starfish or sea cucumber in the interactive touch pool.
