Discover off-the-beaten paths of the heart of Palma as you follow your guide through a rural hiking route all the way to the top of Bellver Castle's hill. Admire the breathtaking views over the city and end on a delicious note with a tasting of the most famous tapas that the island has to offer.
Meet your guide at La Lonja and start your walk toward Bellver Castle through the forested park that surrounds it. Breathe in the fresh air and floral aromas, and explore small caves and passageways along the way—each one has legends and secrets to tell, and your guide is eager to share them.
Once at the top, admire the well-preserved 14th-century royal fortress—one of Europe's only round castles—and snap a panoramic photo overlooking Palma. From there, make your way to the traditional market of Santa Catalina. Under the brightly colored roof, experience the daily life of locals, see farmers peddle fresh produce, and soak up the bustle with a stop at one of the market bars.
End with a tasting of some of the best tapas of the island, including coca de trampó (a famous Mallorcan flatbread) and a Spanish-style egg and potato tortilla.
