Description:

Go off the beaten path to explore the many facets of the Los Cabos countryside. Learn about the life and traditions of Baja California by exploring Miraflores, Santiago, Buena Vista, and Los Barriles, and visit an old saddlery, a zoo, a hacienda, and more.

Make your way to the village of Miraflores at the southeastern tip of Baja California and pay a visit to the local saddlers; learn about this fascinating craft and its importance during the years before tourism became the region's main source of income. Next, see how local craftsmen create unique wooden furniture using fallen trees from the surrounding area.

Continue to Santiago to explore the small zoo, Baja's only wildlife park. In Buena Vista, visit the former hacienda of Mexican General Agustin Olachea, originally built for the armed forces of the Spanish Empire, and a hotel built on a thermal spring with hot waters that flow directly into the sea.

After exploring the estate, head to the top of Cerro de la Bandera to enjoy some breathtaking views over the East Cape area. On your way back to Cabo San Lucas, stop at the small holiday destination of Los Barriles to visit the resort and relish a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
