Description:
From alluring backdrops and rich history to deep lochs and iconic castles, Scotland is a country of beauty and heritage. Embark on this 5-day tour and take in spectacular sights, including Loch Ness, the Isle of Skye, Inverness, and the Eilean Donan Castle.
Day 1: Stirling - Oban
Head to Stirling and enjoy views of the impressive castle and towering Wallace Monument. Stop at Doune and then continue to Rannoch Moor and into Glen Coe, the site of the 1692 massacre, before arriving at Oban, a stunning fishing port.
Day 2: Glenfinnan
Hop on a steam train to Mallaig and cross the Glenfinnan viaduct, famed for its role in the “Harry Potter” films. Take a ferry ride to uncover the awe-inspiring mountains of Skye before driving to the island's capital, Portree, where you can explore the Clan Donald Center.
Day 3: Isle of Skye
Explore some of Skye’s scenery, including the Kilt Rock, before crossing Skye Bridge back to the mainland to see the famous Eilean Donan Castle. Then drive along the Great Glen to Loch Ness.
Day 4: Loch Ness - Inverness
Embark on a cruise along the Loch Ness and see the ruins of Urquhart Castle. In the afternoon, travel into the Highlands and see magnificent views of Loch Broom.
Day 5: Pitlochry
Discover the Culloden Battlefield, Cairngorms National Park, and the Museum of Highland Life to learn about Scottish customs. Then head to Pitlochry for a chance to visit a whisky distillery before passing by Forth Bridge and returning to Edinburgh.
