There's more to Lima than plazas and pisco sours. This is a city with a bohemian vibe, killer street food scene, and non-stop nightlife. Get a history lesson along with your cocktail as you explore the soul of the city and explore Lima's oldest bars and best food stalls.

Start at the fountain of the main plaza of Lima, the Plaza de Armas, which has been a meeting point for Limeños since colonial times. Hear anecdotes of the nightlife of old Lima as you head out to explore the district. Your first stop is at the longest-running bar in Peru, famed not just for its age, but for the many presidents and politicians who have visited it over the years.

Walk a few blocks away to a dynamic area well-known for its many vendors of anticuchos (beef hearts), picarones (small donuts), and other traditional Limeñan street food. You soon become an expert in Peruvian snacks as you sample a number of dishes.

Continue along one of the busiest pedestrian streets in the city and straight into an old, haunted German bar, famous for its live piano music and the ghost of its original owner—who is said to still play the piano each night.
