Description:

Get to know the cultural hub of Japan on this private tour to Kyoto. View cultural icons like Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Heian Jingu Shrine, as well as Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu-dera temples. Along the way, take a break to enjoy a local lunch.

Begin your private trip with hotel pickup in Osaka and journey to Kyoto. Upon arrival, visit the 16th-century Nijo Castle and follow your guide through the castle while you admire the traditional and elegant Japanese decorations.

At your next stop, Kinkaku-ji temple—a National Special Historic Site, marvel at this 3-story building with its top 2 stories covered in pure gold leaf and follow your guide inside where each floor incorporates a different style of architecture. Continue to the 4,300-foot (1,300-m) Kyoto Imperial Palace and admire the low rooflines and wooden structures in classical Japanese style.
