Begin your day with a hotel pickup from your city hotel in Kuala Lumpur and travel 20 miles (32km) west to Klang—Selangor’s royal city. Your first stop is Sri Nagara Temple, an important place of worship for the early Indian immigrants and remains as one of the oldest Hindu temples in the country. Continue your journey to the only masonry structure found in the state—Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. Take out your camera and snap pictures of the gorgeous Gothic-style architecture.

Then, make your way to Kuan Yin Temple. Build in 1892, it is the oldest Chinese temple in the state. Next, marvel at the stunning Sultan Sulaiman Royal Mosque, unique due to the architecture on western art deco and neoclassical cathedral styles. Later, see the Kota Bridge, the first double-decker bridge in Malaysia before you have the chance to learn the history of Klang at the Alam Shah Palace Royal Museum.
