Enjoy pickup from your hotel, and head to the stunning Perdana Botanical Gardens—also known as Lake Gardens—located in the Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur. Wander among the tropical plants in the gardens, listening to the chirping of exotic birds and admiring the charming grounds. Originally created as a heavily planted recreational park, the tropical plants became the star attraction, so the park was converted into a botanical garden.

Within the garden, there are a number of other unique destinations to visit, such as the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. Featuring more than 3,000 birds that represent more than 200 different species, the bird park's tropical rainforest environment is designed to replicate its birds' natural habitat. Follow your guide through the bird park to the Orchid Garden, which displays as many as 800 species of orchids among lush greenery.
