Description:
Soar along an 1,800-foot (548-m) zipline and capture a bird’s-eye view of towering trees, gaping valleys, tumbling waterfalls, and lush mountains. Kipu Ranch has 4,000 acres of dense rainforest, the perfect environment for extensive ziplines, suspension bridges, and a water-zipline plunge.
Strap into your safety harness as your knowledgeable instructor briefs you on zipline safety and operations. Guides join you along each platform of the course, systematically checking your equipment’s safety and imparting a vast knowledge of Hawaiian culture, history, landmarks, and legends.
When you’re ready, jump off and let your body hang above the verdant valleys and cascading waterfalls. Enjoy the adrenaline rush of accelerating up to 35-miles per hour (56 kph) along 9 different zip lines, all 50 – 80-feet (15 – 24-m) above ground. Some ziplines even allow you to ride upside down.
Bask in the serene views along the way, some of which you may recognize from the Academy Award®-winning film, The Descendants. Check out the tandem zip lines, which allow you to ride side-by-side with a friend. Stop at a freshwater mountain swimming hole and try the rope-swing, high-dive, or the infamous “WaterZip” that lands you in the clear, deep waters.
At the end of your adventure, take a break at a picnic lunch complete with wraps, pasta salad, chocolate chip cookies, and a variety of cold drinks.
