Description:
Combine tours and save money. Start in the air and gaze out the bubble windows of a specially designed passenger plane as you soar over Kauai’s lush valleys. Then, take to the ocean on a 65-foot (19.8-m) power catamaran, and snorkel om the waters surrounding the Forbidden Island, Niihau.
Claim your comfortable window seat aboard a custom, 6-passenger GA-8 aircraft, and take off from the Lihue airport with an FAA-certified pilot in the cockpit. Soar at a leisurely pace that allows you to witness all of the scenery on display, and chat with your pilot over 2-way headsets about the natural history, characteristics, and folklore of this Hawaiian isle. Keep your eyes peeled for tumbling waterfalls nestled in the hillsides before your plane touches back down to conclude your tour.
Then travel to the island of Ni'ihau, which lies just across the channel. Ni'ihau is nicknamed The Forbidden Island because of its private ownership and restrictive access. The crew sets you up with your snorkeling gear and instructions before you jump into the aquatic world to explore the marine life and colorful coral below.
After snorkeling, enjoy a deli-style meal with pasta and an assortment of fresh fruits. Bask in the Hawaiian sun, or take relief in the shaded cabin equipped with tables and chairs for you to take a break in comfort. Listen to stories of the native people and history of Niihau, including how the island came to be what it is today. Then, sit back and enjoy picturesque views as you cruise back to port to end a perfect day out on the ocean.
Since this is a combo tour, you have the option of taking either tour first. You also don't have to take both tours on the same day, which makes this perfect if you have a adjustable schedule.
