It doesn't get more idyllic than the pristine beaches and clear waters of the Whitsundays. Cruise through the archipelago to Hamilton Island, where a day of leisure awaits. Soak up the sun on Catseye Beach, go for a swim in the balmy sea, or sip wine overlooking the marina—the island is your oyster.
Step aboard a comfortable ferry and take in the tropical scenery as you ride over the waves, flipping through an island pocket guide to plan your itinerary for the day. In the Hamilton Island Marina, you can window shop (and shop shop) the boutiques and galleries, or grab a seat on an island shuttle to get the lay of the land.
There are plenty of activities on offer at the Hamilton Island Resort Centre. Practice your swing on the golf course, aim for a strike at the bowling alley, take a dip in the pool, or head to the beach for stand-up paddling, kayaking, and snorkeling among the sea turtles.
Meander to the laidback Manta Ray Café for a 2-course lunch of delicious Mediterranean cuisine and plan your afternoon. If you're feeling adventurous, helicopter tours or bushwalks through the island's interior are an option.
