Description:

Take your adrenaline for a little joyride. Experience Kicking Horse River's spin-cycle-like rapids, rated up to class IV. Spend almost 2 1/2 hours rafting before drying off and sitting down to a hearty barbecue lunch complete with dessert and refreshing drinks.

It all starts out calmly enough, as certified river guides get you geared up and provide a detailed safety briefing. Then hit the river with plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the raft, paddles, and the guide's commands, necessary for you and your fellow rafters to navigate the river.

After a little test paddling, the canyon narrows and the river gains speed. Now it's time to put your rafting skills to the test, as the powerful Kicking Horse River plunges you headlong into the spinning, twirling, rolling whitewater rapids. The waves crash over the bow of the raft, drenching everybody as your guide barks out commands that hopefully keeps the boat from flipping over—no promises.

The knowledgeable local guide provides information on the wildlife, surroundings and funny stories when they are not guiding the team of rowers through the rapids. After an energizing trip down the river, end your journey with a delicious BBQ lunch on the riverbank of the mighty Kicking Horse River.
