Description:

Spend a full day exploring some of the most iconic locations in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Start with Pisa, with its world-famous Leaning Tower, move on to San Gimignano, with its medieval towers, and finally head to Siena, with its charming main square and imposing cathedral.

Start your Tuscany explorey in Pisa. Stand in the middle of the city's main square, Piazza dei Miracoli, and marvel at the immaculate white-stone façades of the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and of course, the world-famous Leaning Tower.

Make your way through the glorious rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, past the vineyards, olive groves, and tiny medieval hamlets that dot the landscape. Stop at a delightful, rural winery for a 3-course lunch perfectly paired with some of the locally produced wines.

After lunch, continue onto the medieval walled hill town of San Gimignano, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its 14 ancient stone towers. Other towns in the region have lost their towers due to war or urban renewal, but San Gimignano has managed to retain these impressive structures.

Your final stop is Siena, the city of the famous, annual Palio horserace. Meet a local guide who gives you a tour of this charming city, highlighting important monuments and piazzas, including Piazza del Campo, where the Palio is held. To complete your experience, enjoy a light dinner of local delicacies at a traditional restaurant in the piazza before driving back to Florence.
