Embark on your journey by heading north to the former Portuguese city of Essaouira, passing remote beaches, the Saudi Prince's palace, and the Berber village of Taghazout along the way. Your first stop is at The Bab El Marse port—home to the city’s freshest seafood. Admire the colorful floating vessels that adorn the waters, hear the jovial chatter among the local fishermen, and take in the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Medina.

Then, travel to the Medina itself—a UNESCO-listed site—and go inside the impressive ramparts. Meet local tradesmen selling handicrafts, rugs, authentic spices, and much more. Be sure to stop at the women's cooperative manufacturer of argan oil, and learn about the production and benefits of the famous oil.
