Explore one of Europe's most visited and photographed destinations on this tour of the famous Old Town of Dubrovnik. Wander its remarkably intact city walls that afford breathtaking views across the Adriatic, and listen to your guide explain the history and culture of this fascinating city.
In the Middle Ages it was known as the Republica Ragusa, a powerful maritime state and a key rival city to Venice on the opposite side of the Adriatic coast. Its 1.5-mile (2-km) long walls, impressive Renaissance and Baroque architecture, houses with distinctive red-tiled roofs, and incredible views out to sea are what make this city a must-see destination in Croatia.
Upon arrival, enjoy a fully guided tour of the city, where you explore the historic center and the charming main central street of Stradun. Marvel at the architecture of the imposing Franciscan Monastery, which contains one of the world's oldest pharmacies, before venturing inside the charming Renaissance Rector's Palace.
You may recognize the enormous stone-built Lovrjenac Fortress, picturesque squares, and churches from many scenes in the popular television series, Game of Thrones.
